About the role • Undertake the research funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, HK• Work with colleagues in SoP and its partner institutions.• Contribute to proposals for pharmacoepidemiology analyses to new grant applications for external research funding.• Advise on methods for pharmacoepidemiology alongside trials including data collection and data analysis.• Collaborate with colleagues at UCL and its partner institutions.• Maintain up to date skills and knowledge pharmacoepidemiology methods that are of relevance to observational research.• Publish research papers in high impact peer reviewed journals.• Disseminate research findings at national and/or international scientific meetings.• Advise on preparation of reports for funding agencies and ethics committees.• Participate in Departmental, School and/or Faculty meetings and seminars as appropriate aimed at sharing research outc omes and building interdisciplinary collaborations• Maintain effective communication and accurate records.• Maintain own continuing professional development About you The successful candidate must : •Have a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology• Strong analytic and numeric skills• Skilled in analysing longitudinal data including target trial emulation approach• Proven proficiency using Statistical Software (e.g. SAS, R, Stata)• Strong working understanding of pharmacoepidemiology concepts• Experience using multiple electronic healthcare databases• Experience using multiple electronic databases from different countries• Able to maintain meticulous records of the analysis methodologies used and trialled, which can be understood by other members of the team• Excellent written and spoken English Skills and abilities• Ability to lead a research project with considerable degree of independence• Ability to clearly communicate and report results to the Principal Investigator, at internal meetings, and at conferences• Track record of publishing peer-revi ewed scientific articles• Excellent time management skills such that the postholder can demonstrate productivity week by week• Motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to UCL’s world-leading portfolio of biomedical research• Able to adopt resilience strategies to thrive in a fast-moving research environment• Ability to conduct research with integrity and accountability, such that the results obtained can be reproduced easily by others Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels across UCL What we offer Visit https://www.ucl.ac.uk/work-at-ucl/rewards-and-benefits to find out more.
