Further information can be found on our website http://www.ucl.ac.uk/pharmacy/ About the role We are seeking to recruit 1 full-time position until 30 April 2025 in the first instance as part of the UCL medicinal chemistry core of the $63M READDI-AViDD consortium funded by the NIH to develop novel, direct-acting antivirals in advance of t he next pandemic. The post-holder will manage protein expression, purification and assay development, including interactions with other parts of READDI-AViDD protein team mostly in the US and Canada. The research will be carried out according to the open science principles of the Structural Genomics Consortium. This opening represents a rare and exciting opportunity to make a major international contribution to pandemic preparedness through basic research. About you The successful candidate should have an outstanding track record in the expression (bacterial, mammalian and insect systems) and purification (e.g. using Akta Pure) of proteins as well as the establishment of binding assays with those proteins (e.g. SPR, thermal shift, NMR). You will work in collaboration with a new Protein Science team in the Faculty of Life Sciences.
