The culture at City is built on our shared core values, which means that all employees are expected to behave according to our values: “We care, We learn, We act.” Background Bayes Business School and the School of Health and Psychological Sciences (SHPS), City, University of London, established in 2019 an Interdisciplinary Research Centre – the Centre for Healthcare Innovation Research (CHIR). The Centre represents a major new initiative at City and is intended to address the complex challenges of embedding innovation into practice within healthcare services and delivery. The Centre aims to achieve thought leadership and impact by informing policy and practitioner communities in this field. Responsibilities The researcher appointed to this role will be involved in an exciting project working closely with the Health Foundation to investigate their portfolio of improvement projects with the aim of understanding how and why some projects have been successful in scaling and spreading innovations across the health and care system, while others have had less impact. Person Specification The researcher appointed to this post will need to have a PhD in social sciences or relevant discipline and experience in mixed methods. Candidates without a PhD but with relevant research experience will be considered.
