Residential Support and Experience Officer (House Parent)

£15 per hour
Reed Further Education are recruiting for a Residential Support and Experience Officer (Maternity Cover) in Preston. This role is Full time (37 hours per week).
Duties & Responsibilities;
- Provide a high level of presence within all residential areas enabling students or visitors to make contact for any reason and be responsible for delegated tasks and caseload of students and Halls of residence.
- Take responsibility for residential student Support and welfare referring any student who requires specialist support, advice, help or guidance, liaising with all students and their parents or guardians as necessary and ensuring all records are kept up to date.
- Deliver a tutorial programme, carrying out individual reviews as part of the students’ individual learning plan with an identified caseload of student, monitoring their progress and development, ensuring that the student’s journey is recorded.
Requirements;
- GCSE English at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent standard)
- Residential Support Qualification / Health / social care qualifications at Level 3 or above, or equivalent.
- First Aid certificate or willingness to work towards within the first 6 months of employment.
- Presentable and professional appearance.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good command of the English language.
- Appropriate level of physical and mental fitness.
Reed Further Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment by undergoing a 2 year’ employment check and a DBS Application, completing mandatory training within 6 weeks of your first assignment and annually thereafter.
