LOCATION: Leeds (Lovell Park)
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days a week) in our Leeds office.
About this opportunity:
This Insight and Analysis role sits within our Group Cost and Investment Management function in Group Finance. With a key role for ensuring the Group becomes more efficient and productive; it's a medium-sized team full of dynamic, ambitious, and supportive colleagues with strong data analysis and insight capabilities.
This role is strategically important as it helps drive Divisions to deliver improved resource cost efficiency and Productivity:

• They work across all divisions and business areas to help provide additional focus and stimulate actions to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  
• Specific deliverables include the production of insight and analysis pertaining to FTE budgeting, headcount reporting and associated costs.
  
• Provides advice on the best way to resource a piece of work, including recruiting, offshoring, outsourcing, buy/ build etc.
  
• Building new and enhancing existing Power BI solutions.
  

The team also reports group productivity. Examples include the number of calls taken in contact centres to credit approval numbers or the number of unsupported IT applications. Data remediation, manipulation, analysis and insight generation are central to this role.
Here's what you'd be doing:

• Examine data aligned to various business productivity metrics to help the areas of the organisation to progress with their ambitions.
  
• Using raw and unstructured data sources, cleanse and validate the data to analyse and build key data insights using Excel and Power BI.
  
• Develop and bring insights together to tell a story and facilitate key decision-making through your reports, packs, and visualisations.
  
• Constantly learn and develop new data analysis and insight techniques, helping to deliver regular value add insights to some of the Group's most senior Execs.

What you'll need:
Firstly, you should be highly proficient at manipulating data within Excel to an advanced level (v-lookups, pivots tables etc.).
We're seeking evidence of experience interrogating data, building insights, and translating these into reports and packs for senior audiences and presenting them. You will need to be a confident communicator to work with business leaders and deliver your work diligently to a very high standard.
The main attribute we're keen to see is your desire to solve problems through data.
Power BI or previous visualisation software experience is also required and you should show desire to grow and develop your data and analytical skills.
Similarly, any experience of working with People cost data would be useful and a keen interest to learn about how this huge organisation works would really set you up to succeed...
