About the team / role:
The role sits within the small Risk Team in UK Platform Securities 'Wealth as a Service' (WaaS) business which is going through a period of change. This is a multifaceted role which will enable you to work with senior business stakeholders to embed risk management across the business. You will also be SME for a wide range of risk types but with preference for experience in, Vendor Management, Business Continuity or Operational Resilience. This is a hands on role with many different areas of focus and tight deadlines.
What you will be doing:
- Lead on Vendor Management and Outsourcing governance.
- Own and manage risk reporting tools and systems.
- Work with business areas to identify and implement areas of improvement to current processes, some of which are in need of refinement.
- Deliver right first time Quality Assurance and Risk MI
- Work with the business to streamline current risk management processes, review how risks are raised and managed and actions delivered in a timely fashion.
- Support both internal and external audit teams with ongoing audits, facilitate calls and provide timely reminders for completion of actions.
- Support the Risk team with ongoing Regulatory work for Vendor Management, Operational Resilience and Business Continuity.
- Supporting the Head of Risk to deliver tangible improvements in the Risk Management Framework across 2024.
- Vendor Management experience
- Confident working in a busy, fast paced environment without constant supervision
- Working knowledge of Risk Management tools and systems
- Solid experience in Risk Management - Ideally at a regulated Financial Services or Audit firm
- Knowledge of 3rd Party Vendor Management and / or Business Continuity
- Knowledge of RCSA, KRI's, Risk Appetite, ICARA,
- Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI knowledge and experience
- Ability to lead pieces of work and liaise with different departments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good presentation, writing and delivery skills
- Eager to learn
