SalaryThis is very much a hands-on role, you will play a pivotal role within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance function. Reporting directly to the CRO your primary responsibility will be to deliver strategic advice, oversight, and challenge across all areas of the business, ensuring the highest standards of member outcomes and regulatory compliance.
As Risk Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring a comprehensive company-wide assurance framework.
- Leading in-depth discussions with stakeholders at all levels, supporting and challenging them to identify, assess, and manage effectively.
- Overseeing the Risk Management System, providing guidance and generating insightful reports.
- Cultivating a positive culture within the organization, promoting fairness towards members and fostering collaborative relationships across departments.
- Assisting in horizon scanning activities, staying informed about UK and Irish regulatory landscapes.
- Supporting the Compliance Monitoring Plan and overseeing compliance-related activities.
- Contributing to reporting for key stakeholders.
- Providing guidance on compliance and policies, procedures, and financial promotions
- Must have experience in a Financial Services or Insurance background.
- Experience of FCA handbook requirements
- Extensive experience in risk management and compliance roles within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practical application.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead discussions and influence decision-making.
- Experience presenting to governance committees and senior leadership.
