Road Safety Officer delivering the School Crossing Patrol (SCP) Service across Warwickshire.
This role will primarily support the Senior Road Safety Officer delivering the School Crossing Patrol Service.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Supervisory visits to School Crossing Patrols located throughout Warwickshire (at shift times – morning and afternoon).
- Reviewing and updating risk assessments
- Recruitment campaigns including promotional activities, liaison with stakeholders, interviewing candidates, and providing training to successful Patrols.
- Updating records including sickness, carrying out simple medicals, administration duties as service requires.
- Communicating with stakeholders, including schools, local members and partners.
- Supporting Senior Road Safety Officer with reporting incidents.
- Undertaking vehicle and pedestrian site count assessments to ensure compliance with National RSGB / RoSPA guidance.
- Delivery and collection of uniform and equipment essential for Patrols to perform their role legally.
Warwickshire County Council currently have 41 active School Crossing Patrol sites throughout Warwickshire, all of which require regular visits and contact. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to travel (usually by car) throughout Warwickshire.
