Our client is a leading UK wide law firm, with a specialism in Personal Injury claims.
They have a great opportunity for an RTA Legal Advisor/Fee Earner to join their Liverpool based team, however the role can be hybrid based on a 2 office/3 home working basis.
The RTA Legal Advisor will manage high volume client matters, delivering a high-quality service while adhering to the company’s business directives. They’ll take on the responsibility of managing relationships with both internal and external parties to ensure that all matters are handled appropriately.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Ensuring efficient file management, which involves adhering to specified timescales and maintaining compliance with precedents, letters, or documents on the case management system under appropriate supervision.
Proactively progressing all files towards settlement in an efficient manner, including addressing issues related to inactivity and complaints.
Managing the financial aspects of matters, including billing and time recording, to achieve the company’s key performance indicators (KPIs). The RTA Legal Advisor is also expected to set and meet personal goals aligned with these KPIs.
Securing relevant medical reports and reviewing and valuing them appropriately in accordance with company guidelines, Judicial College Guidelines, Case law, and other relevant standards.
Obtaining the client’s Schedule of Loss and any necessary evidence to support a claim.
Securing interim payments and client agreements, and following up with clients, insurers, or suppliers when necessary.
Preparing cases adequately for litigation, hearings, directions, and other legal proceedings, and providing post-settlement case steps, including the release of files to the enforcement team.
Minimizing write-offs and case closures resulting from clients being AWOL, and engaging in proactive housekeeping, including promptly closing files, handling ledger inquiries, and processing write-offs.
Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of legal document drafting, especially court documents, preparing schedules, creating files, proofreading, and briefing counsel. Conducting research and applying an understanding of the law within the Practice Group.
Maintaining an awareness of the risk profile in the area of business and working to minimize exposure.
Candidates for this role must be able to demonstrate RTA/Portal experience as well as experience of working to an individual billing target, meeting Cost to Serve targets and delivering excellent service to clients.
