What will the Nuclear Safety Engineer be doing?
We are seeking an individual with a strong background in Nuclear, Radiological, and Process Safety to lead the development of Nuclear Safety Cases for new manufacturing facilities. An ideal candidate would possess expertise in safety case standards, hazard identification, risk assessment, and the integration of cross-functional safety practices.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing modern standard Nuclear Safety Cases.
- Undertaking Hazard Identification and analysis assessments.
- Integrating best practices from Nuclear, Radiological, and Process Safety.
- Carrying out numerical risk assessments under normal and accident conditions.
We need the Nuclear Safety Engineer to have the following
- Degree in Engineering, Maths, Physics or equivalent.
- Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork and meeting tight deadlines.
- Skill in producing clear, concise, and accurate technical reports.
- Knowledge or experience in hazard identification techniques like FMEAs, HAZOPs, and Fault & Event Tree Analysis.
- Familiarity with hazard assessment processes, including ALARP assessments.
