The Nuclear Facilities Safety Team supports delivery of Nuclear Manufacturing across multiple complex facilities driving improved safety and operational performance through robust safety analysis and substantiation. Major programmes of work include the implementation of new manufacturing facilities, conduct of Periodic Review of Safety and Interim Reviews of Safety and Plant Life Extension (PLEX) of existing facilities, coupled with support to engineering projects (from inception to implementation on plant).

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
You will be involved in producing and maintaining Nuclear Safety Cases for existing and new Nuclear Manufacturing Facilities.
- Developing modern standard safety cases.
- Undertaking hazard identification and safety analysis.
- Conduct of categorisation and classification of engineering and operator safety measures.
- Working closely with cross functional resource to produce and present robust substantiation (and implementation of engineering change).
- Completing analysis to support criticality safety assessments.

- Degree in Engineering, Maths, Physics or equivalent.
- Demonstrable evidence of proactivity, determination and delivery focus;
- The ability to provide clear, concise and accurate technical reports.
- Experience or knowledge of hazard identification techniques such as FMEAs, HAZOPs, Fault & Event Tree Analysis, and reliability evaluation methods.
- Experience or knowledge of hazard assessment processes, including design basis assessment techniques (e.g. production of fault schedules, the derivation of safety functional requirements)

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently already have this in place.
