What will you be doing?

As a Gas Turbine Safety Engineer, you will join the Derby team to support our activities within the Aerospace sector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead the investigation into safety alerts and potential failure modes of Gas Turbine engines to determine the impact, primary and secondary effects, severity, root cause and potential resolution routes of the issue.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members of all levels both internally and externally to provide leadership and guidance to the investigation process.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• 10+ years of experience in Gas Turbine engineering, with a focus on systems integration or investigating potential risks and failures (SAR, FRACAS, FMECA etc).
• Strong knowledge of Gas Turbine major systems, subsystems, key components, and operations.
• Experience with cause and effect, root cause analysis, data analysis and troubleshooting tools.
• Superb leadership skills - some project management experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.
