Job description

JHE & Partners are working exclusively with a reputable and established manufacturing company in Huddersfield as they look to recruit an experienced Sales Administrator to join them on a permanent basis. You will be working in a tightknit team of 4, and will report into the superb Finance Director who supports and invests in his employees to allow you to develop new skills and grow your career.

The role of Sales Administrator is vital to the company as you will be the first point of contact for all customer queries regarding pricing, lead time and new product enquiries. You must be well organised, a strong communicator who is able to build good rapport with clients. You will be responsible for liaising with freight companies to book transport for customer goods, whilst also receiving customer orders and entering onto the production system.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Managing Director and Production team regarding production scheduling.
  • Issuing Order Confirmations to Customers
  • Raising Supplier Purchase Orders for raw materials and external processing (finishing, laminating, etc) and schedule call-offs with Suppliers. Chasing for progress and ensuring timely receipt of goods.
  • Raise Supplier Purchase Orders for maintenance, packaging and other materials via Pirana system and record receipt of delivery.
  • Production of a monthly late list for the FD with regards to outstanding purchase/carriage invoices.
  • Attend and contribute to the weekly production/sales review meeting.
  • Collation of necessary documentation (delivery notes, packing lists, C of C, Commercial Invoice, shipping / export documents) to support sales shipments.
  • Maintain and update the detailed sales forecast.
  • Maintain and update the Sales orderbook.
  • Liaise with the Quality Department to arrange external testing and distribution of test certificates and CofC’s to customers.
  • Liaise with the warehouse to monitor stock levels of packaging.
  • Reorder consumables and stationery as required.
  • Monitoring PPE usage and purchasing PPE items.
  • General Reception duties (Visitors, Deliveries, Phone answering) as part of Admin team
  • Provide absence cover for other members of the admin team as required.

The hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 3pm on a Friday. This is a fantastic company working in a friendly and supportive office.
