Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Sales Engineer to work for a leading Aerospace customer in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills and will have preferably worked in the Aerospace market.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with key customers; understand their business, their strategy, their needs, and upcoming opportunities; influence their processes and decision making to benefit.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
- Identify product improvements and new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to existing and prospective customers.
- Provide product, service, technical, and engineering information by answering questions and requests for specific customer requirements.
- Travel internationally at least once per month.
- Generate high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, and completing sales.
- Prepare Sales Engineering reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
- Implement and manage the timely delivery of key customer programs including communication strategies and issue resolution.
- Document account activity, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers; maintain forecasting reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within department.
- Perform product engineering development and product support activities as directed.

Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s in marketing, engineering, business administration or equivalent.
- Experience in aerospace sales / engineering environment.
- 2-5 years working in aerospace or a related industry.
