Sales Support Team Managersought by an automotive parts remanufacturer and supplier who has been supplying to the motor trade for over 20 years. The Role:
As the Sales Support Team Manager you will be first point of contact for export costumers with responsibility for ensuring customer SLAs.
This is a hands-on role with team management responsibilities. Your duties will include:
- Main point of contact for freight forwarders and will ensure the correct customs declarations are made in a timely manner
- Delivering and managing a robust, effective support function that underpins the success of this busy, dynamic team
- Handling, managing and successful completion of customer orders, product and technical queries, and aftersales service
- Working collaboratively with the rest of the organisation to resolve issues, maximise sales and improve operational processes
- Processing quotations and orders from customers via phone, email, or TecCom
- Creating invoices, supply confirmations and packing lists where required, making sure that invoices are correct and in line with agreed conditions
- Inputting sales order entries, proactively investigating and resolving customer enquiries, processing orders and providing general ad-hoc administrative support
- Responsible for the development, training and support of the wider Sales Support Team (comprising 6 Sales Support Administrators and 3 Technical Advisors) while ensuring an effective service to both internal and external customers
- Supporting the Sales team with any other requests
- Working with the Technical and Sales Support team in ensuring achievement of individual and team KPIs
- Liaising with various departments to ensure customer queries and issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Working with the Sales team to ensure consignment stock is maintained and updated on a regular basis
- Liaising with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of customer orders and to maintain a lower cost of logistics while maintaining a high level of service and transport schedules
- Ensuring all compliance follows expert policies, procedures and legal mandates
- Bringing new ideas to the table for improvements in current processes
- Keeping up to date with changes in customs regulations affecting trade routes
The successful Sales Support Team Manager should demonstrate:
- Experience of sales and logistics process; experience of export sales and logistics is preferable
- Experience in training and coaching teams and individuals
- Experience of managing and supporting a large team
- Excellent Excel skills
- Organised with strong attention to detail and a right first time ethos
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, naturally able to build rapport
- Commercially focused, customer orientated and customer service driven with ability to listen to complex challenges and logically work through and offer appropriate solutions
