OVERALL SUMMARY
The Savings Product Analyst will form part of the Product team and be responsible for supporting the Savings Product Manager on day-to-day management of the Savings book. This will include supporting the Product Team in tracking actual performance vs. commercial objectives, regular monitoring of markets to enable decision making, implementation of Savings changes when required and fulfilling Product Governance obligations.
Close Brothers Savings is focused on delivering quality products and services to our customers and therefore, this is a key role within the team. As a Product Analyst you will be involved in supporting delivery of new initiatives to enhance our offerings to customers. This role will require you to work with various stakeholders across Product, the wider Savings team and Treasury. This role provides opportunity to help support the 3–5-year Savings roadmap to deliver the organisation's growth ambitions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Support
- Support Savings Product Manager in preparation of pricing proposals for approval through Commercial Forum
- Implementation of agreed rate changes, product changes and new issuances
- Ensure understanding of product set up to support new initiatives, including completion of UAT
- Supporting the Savings Product Manager in undertaking regular product reviews
- Preparing key papers and inputs for meetings and key governance forums
- Where required, support with key initiatives such as new products, rationalisation, and migration of products
- Supporting the Savings Product Manager or Product Lead with running and updating the Funding Plan, as well as monthly rebases
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements and deadlines are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required
Reporting and Analytics
- Provide regular market and competitor insight to inform business decisions - both tactical and strategic
- Production of regular management information to support business decisions
- Analysis to measure success of new products and channel initiatives
- Focus on findings with the greatest customer and or commercial impact
People and Stakeholders
- Work with Balance Sheet Management and other teams to support Savings performance in line with wider balance sheet position (BAU)
- Support in communicating and managing the relationship with third parties
- Present information in a way that is easy to be understood by a non-technical audience and iterate models and documentation based on feedback
- Promote customers first thinking when discussing product and services

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Powerpoint skills
- Extremely high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A self-starter who is motivated to set and achieve goals and takes initiative within the team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
- Financial services experience
- Business Intelligence (BI) technology literate with an understanding of tools and technology, e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, Alteryx Experience in training mentoring colleagues with certain skill sets
