I have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Supported Housing Manager on a permanent basis, to oversee the day to day running of a new 40 bed service in Rochdale across Monday to Friday (36 hours per week) with line managerial responsibility of 1 Support Worker who will work alongside you on the scheme.
You will be responsible for the overall housing management of the service, safeguarding, health & safety and security of the building as well as supporting the caseload of clients living within the scheme, need and risk assessing cases and ensuring support plans are in place, dealing with breaches of tenancy & antisocial behaviour, and liaising with a range of key stakeholders, agencies and Local Authority to ensure the highest level of support is being provided to service users.
To be considered for this role, a driving licence with access to your own vehicle is essential, as well as a good level of managerial competencies, an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people, as well as the flexibility to work unsociable hours if requested.
We are looking to speak to candidates who have experience of working with homeless people with a wide range of social problems, including asylum seekers and refugees. You will also need a good knowledge of welfare rights, the housing benefit system and safeguarding.
