Level 2 Apprenticeship Pay Rates (Dependent on age)

The Quarry Hill Administration team is looking to recruit new colleagues to join us for the new school year. 

In the the job, you would be working in a busy office, within a small but dedicated team, assisting tutors and students with their day to day queries. The job is varied and never the same, but you can expect to handle:

  • Enrolment of students
  • Timetabling of yearly classes
  • Student finances and Bursary applications.
  • Register maintenance
  • Purchase ordering 
  • Student records upkeep
  • reference requests
  • DBS clearing for students 
  • Data Input
  • Exam Invigilation

This is a 12 month apprenticeship, working towards a customer service practitioner qualification.

What You Will Do

  • Alongside training and working towards a customer service qualification, you will work with and for students as they learn through the school year.
  • Undertake all aspects of administrative and clerical tasks, including word processing duties, production of letters,  use of databases and spreadsheets, mailshots, email, photocopying, faxing and filing.
  • Deal effectively and professionally with telephone and face-to-face enquiries from staff and the public.
  • Ensure a regular and accessible availability of college forms, stationery and other supplies Carry out general admin duties relating to the different areas of work across  the department.
  • Create and maintain effective filing and computerised systems as required.
  • Assist at enrolment and other college events, including evenings and weekends as required. To support student enrolments and support College events, including parents evenings, open evenings and awards events.

About You

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at grades 4 to 9 or A*- C 
  • Excellent IT Skills.
  • Able to organise themselves and their work.
  • Good communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • Who isn't afraid to get involved and help shape the culture of the student body and promote life skills.
