We are recruiting for a School Administrator to support the head teacher for a school based in he Slough Area. Existing PA/Secretarial experience is not required however you will be required to have strong administration skills and experience.
We require someone who has excellent organisation skills and someone who is personable and self motivated.
The position is term time only working 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. This temporary assignment will be for approx. 1 year, so we are looking for a candidate who is able to commit long term.
Supporting the Head Teacher, you will mainly be responsible for ensuring that they are fully supported in all aspects of their work including confidential matters and managing the office, secretarial and administrative functions.
The key duties for this role include:
- Providing efficient administration and secretarial assistance to Head Teacher daily.
- Managing the Head Teacher's diary and time including booking appointments, receiving visitors, providing preparatory support and making travel arrangements.
- Keeping the main office informed and organise/distribute tasks coming into the office, ensuring it runs effectively and efficiently.
- Opening, sorting and distributing the Head Teacher's mail including electronic mail, and advising on any urgent matters.
- Organising meetings, conferences and events on behalf of the Head Teacher.
The key skills and requirements for this role include:
- Highly organised, with great attention to detail.
- Fantastic communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Existing experience within administration
