We are excited to offer the opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team at a thriving secondary school in Haverhill. The position is for an initial year, a fixed term contract is on offer if you prefer. Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach English Literature and Language to secondary school students, bringing texts from Shakespearean sonnets to contemporary novels to life.
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that engage and challenge students.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment through effective behaviour management.
- Utilise your strong subject knowledge in English to inspire and motivate students to explore and excel.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to the school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable.
- Degree in English Literature or Language, providing a solid academic foundation.
- Experience teaching in the UK education system is preferred.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for English among students.
