SENCO-Inclusion Leader

Are you passionate about removing barriers to learning and supporting students with Special Educational Needs?

Do you have a passion for SEN and have been waiting for the right opportunity as a SENCO to arise in superb school?

Due to the growing popularity of this academy and a rapid growth in student numbers, they are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic SENCO to join our team from Easter or September 2024.

  • Co-ordinating the schools growing SEN department

The academy has been in the top 1% of all schools nationally with its excellent attendance at over 97%. In 2018, the academy outperformed other sponsored academies nationally and was judged by Ofsted as ‘Good’ with many outstanding features. We are delighted that at our recent re-inspection in February 2019 the academy was again judged to be "Good" with many outstanding features. This year saw record results at the Academy, and it is an exciting time for the right candidate to join a growing and talented staff team.

As the new SENCo, you will be responsible for providing support and direction for the coordination of SEN throughout the school. You will monitor progress regularly against targets for pupils with SEND, following teachers plans and evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and learning by work analysis. As the school SENCo, you will liaise with staff, parents, external agencies, and other schools to co-ordinate their contribution, provide maximum support and ensure continuity of educational provision for pupils with SEND.
