Description
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Additional duties as necessary.
Profile
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA).
- Excellent accounting software user administration skills.
- Planning through to review across Accounts and Tax.
- Able to confidently manage client interaction and advise of the more complex queries
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
