An established Accountancy Practice in the Otley area is recruiting for an experienced Accountant.
To be considered you must have accountancy experience from another practice, ideally a small or medium sized firm.
They can offer flexible working and one day working from home
Duties:
- Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Finalising accounts and tax returns with clients
- Supporting the partner in running the practice
- Review of work prepared by junior staff
- Supervision and training of junior members of staff
- Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
- Provision of advice to clients as required
- Review and or preparation of more complex VAT returns
- Preparing Personal Tax Computations
- Preparing Capital Gains Tax Computation
- Report directly to a Partner
- Supporting clients in the use of cloud based bookkeeping software
Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of practice experience, ideally in a small firm.
- Experience of using accounting software including Xero, Sage, Quick Books & IRIS .
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Team player who is not afraid to put forward ideas
- Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and set deadlines.
