AJ Chambers have just taken on a requirement for a Senior Accountant to join our client, a long-established accountancy firm in Bedford, who pride themselves on maintaining a small practice feel.

Our client has a team of 25-30 staff, and emphasises the importance of a collaborative environment, and pride themselves of having a close knit, family feel team. The Role:
- Prepare year-end financial statements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, assisting in their professional development.
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all client engagements.
