SalaryAJ Chambers are proud to be working with a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their successful and growing team in Luton.

Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing a client portfolio
- Compiling financial statements for Limited Companies in compliance with FRS102, complete with a comprehensive working paper file for review by managers and partners.
- Conducting corporation tax computations.
- Performing personal tax computations.
- Handling VAT Returns and bookkeeping using Xero/Dext.
- Managing payroll processing and ensuring effective management.
- Addressing ad hoc queries from HMRC and clients.
- Supervising a junior team member, involving task assignment for the month, file reviews, and providing training and developmental support.
Required experience:
- You will ideally an ACCA/ ACA qualified accountant.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working within an accountancy practice.
- You’ll have a breadth of knowledge on complex accounting queries.
- You will have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable rectifying queries as soon as they are brought to your attention.
