SalaryOur client, a long-established accountancy firm in Bedford, who pride themselves on maintaining a small practice feel, are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare year-end financial statements for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, assisting in their professional development.
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, ensuring compliance in all client engagements.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a similar role within an accountancy firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
