Senior Property Accountant

Location: Hertfordshire

Hours: Monday - Frriday 9-5:30pm

Type: Contract role with potential to go permanent

Are you working as a Senior Property Accountant and looking for the next step up in your career to work directly alongside the Finance Director and assist in overseeing an accounts team?
Main duties to include:
- Accurately manage all aspects of our client's financial control and planning.
- To ensure robust safeguards, accounting procedures and policies are in place.
- Effectively supervise/lead a team (accounts payable/receivable)
- Overseeing bank and balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting
- Organising regular supplier payment runs
- Month end reporting including reviewing accuracy of postings, reconciling control accounts, calculating prepayments/accruals and other adjustments
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Develop reporting and analysis
- Manage fixed asset register
- Assisting with annual audit requirements
- Managing Payroll
- Full HMRC compliance including producing/submitting VAT returns and sales lists
- Work with the Finance Director to drive efficiency in processes, controls and IT systems
Experience required:
- Background within residential block management accounting
- Excellent at Excel spreadsheet creation and operation
- A desire to learn and gain knowledge of financial principles and procedures.
- QUBE property software would be ideal!
