Kenton Black Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a small growing practice looking for two qualified Senior Accountant’s with a full practice background for their offices in Stoke-On-Trent..
Established in 2016 they currently have a workforce of circa 30 employees with excellent staff retention.

AS SENIOR ACCOUNTANT YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Preparation and completion of larger more complex year end client accounts
-Reviewing draft accounts prepared by the assistants
-Working with a variety of clients across a multitude of sectors
-Preparation of corporation and self-assessment tax and VAT returns and everything in between
-Working closely with your clients from start to finish including answering calls and emails from clients amongst many other duties
-Offering tax planning and business advisory opportunities for clients
-Offering mentoring sessions – for example if a regular error is happening on jobs from a certain assistant, then offering a mentor session to explain the correct way of doing things
-Offering cloud software support to your client list
-Reviewing self assessment tax returns for the business owners of your client list
PERSON SPECIFICATION
As Senior Accountant the following attributes and skills are required
-ACA/ ACCA qualified or equivalent
-2-3 years post qualification experience
-Strong knowledge and practical experience of cloud accounting software – Xero advantageous
-Experience of reviewing the work of junior staff
-Ability to multi task, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
-Strong technical skills with the ability to showcase your level of accuracy and attention to detail
-Excellent ‘soft’ skills including written and spoken communication skills
-Ability to meet strict deadlines within time and budget
-Proven experience of providing cloud accounting support to clients
-Ability to showcase your leadership qualities
