We have 1, permanent, full-time vacancy based in children's residential homes in Lincoln.
Unique opportunity!
This is one of our more distinctive roles as it is based within Children’s Residential Homes.
Our Business Support staff are based full time in the Residential Homes but are not directly involved in the provision of direct support of a personal or social care nature to children and young people. This role is part of our Business Support team who are an integral part of each Residential Home team in making sure everything is running behind the scenes!
A typical day in a Children’s Home (if such a thing exists!) can involve covering reception duties, supporting purchasing activities in the Home, records management tasks and liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders from partner agencies, colleagues from other departments, visiting professionals and most importantly the children and young people themselves. Customer service and communication skills are key in this role!
Business Support work very closely with the Residential Staff team and together it is a friendly, welcoming and supportiveenvironment. You will be supported with all elements of training in this role to provide high quality serviceto the Home Manager and the team on site, whilst providing occasional cover for other Homes remotely.
There is a high degree of variety, autonomy and independent working in this role to support the site and residents, but you are always part of a wider team on hand to support and advise.
What you'll need to be successful
We need team players, with drive, determination and self motivation. You'll also have a flexible, can-do positive attitude and a real desire to provide exceptional service.
We are also looking for a people with
- Previous experience of administration within a busy work environment
- Previous experience with working with multiple agencies
- Excellent time management skills
- First class customer service skills including a good telephone manner
- A range of transferrable skills including previous experience with Microsoft Office
