National Grid Interconnectors is at the heart of UK’s transition to our net zero energy future, operating a number of HVDC interconnectors that connect the UK’s energy system to some of our closest neighbours, allowing energy to be imported to and exported from the UK. As well as already owning a portfolio of HVDC Interconnectors, we’re working on developing new projects to ensure that we are able to meet the UK’s future demands for greener energy solutions.

To enable the realisation of our Asset Management initiatives we're actively strengthening our Asset Management Capability. As an Asset Strategy Engineer, you'll be at the heart of, and will lead on, the growth we are looking to achieve.
In this role you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. You'll be flexible to travelling to our Warwick office and Interconnector sites as required. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.
Key accountabilities
- Work with stakeholders to build awareness of and continually improve our “Asset Management Framework”, such as Operations & Maintenance, Contracts, Cyber and Finance teams.
- Ensure that our strategic plans are effectively aligned with wider strategic decisions, such as IT systems, Data, and People Strategies.
- Be the central point of contact for the business for the Strategic Asset Management Plan and associated Asset Management Plans.
- Work with the business to build these plans on a yearly cycle, working with the investment and development process to ensure these interventions are viable.
- Track and report on the completion of Asset Management Objectives and Planned deliverables.
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach to the implementation and management of standards that are defined and required for Asset Management.
- Attend site meetings to work with stakeholder.
About you

- A strong Asset Management background.
- Experience within HVDC or Electricity Transmission / Distribution engineering.
- Working knowledge of Asset management principles and requirements.
- Experience with project management and change management approaches and principles.

What you'll get
A competitive salary between £49,000 - £62,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
