Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you'll be entrusted with a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in the management and development of a dynamic team, including trainees
- Collaborating on the planning and execution of client compliance work
- Preparing meticulous accounts, VAT, and other financial documents
- Upholding strict deadlines and managing workflow efficiently
- Reporting to Senior Managers and actively participating in meetings
- Liaising with external organisations, such as HMRC, with professionalism and expertise
- Providing exceptional client service by managing queries effectively
- Handling various ad hoc duties as they arise
Qualifications/Competencies:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- AAT qualification (essential)
- ACCA part qualification (preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting practice
Experience in the Following Areas:
- Managing multiple VAT preparations and submissions
- Proficient bookkeeping skills
- Understanding of payroll processes
- Accounts preparation to the highest standards
- Client query management and note preparation
- Dealing with HMRC and third-party entities
- Supervising and mentoring team members to foster growth and development
Skills:
We're looking for individuals with expertise in:
- Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, DEXT, and Sage Cloud Accounting
- Proficient computer literacy (Excel, Email, Word, PowerPoint, internet)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in client interactions and query resolution

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm (fully office-based).
