Sheffield Music Hub believes that every child, regardless of race; gender; where they live; their levels of musical talent; parental income; whether they have special educational needs or disabilities; and whether they are looked-after children; deserve the very best music education.
We are currently looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Senior Business Support Officer.
In this post you will work closely with the Head of Music Education and wider management team focussing on admin tasks and technical support in relation to systems, diary management, venue bookings, coordination of various training, workshops, events and recruitment. The role will help the organisation to continue to grow, with a specific focus on supporting children and young people who face the greatest barriers to accessing music education.
Duties also include supporting the Music Hub wider family in terms of coordinating messages to schools, parents and carers, music tuition timetabling, support to processes such as risk assessments and being a general point of contact between staff in schools and the management team.
Effective skills in communication are therefore essential as you will be working alongside all members of our large team; music educators, partners, schools, parents/carers plus the children we engage with.
The working week is 29.6 hrs (4 days per week) which includes flexible working arrangements, and will require some evening work to support our existing satellite venues.
Main responsibilities are detailed in the Job Description and Job Specification but key skills in IT, high standards of numeracy and an interest in music would be ideal. Some experience in an educational setting managing children’s data would be preferred but is not essential.
Sheffield Music Hub is striving to be a diverse and inclusive organisation and welcomes a broad range of applications for this public facing and exciting role.
