Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with an ambitious Public Sector organisation in Nottinghamshire to recruit a Senior Capital Accountant on a permanent basis (flexible and hybrid working).

The Senior Capital Accountant will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, and plays a key role in providing a comprehensive and professional service to the Corporate Management Team and wider organisation. Responsibilities for the Senior Capital Accountant will include:

• Leading on the creation, coordination, and development of the annual capital budget, including the implementation of a sound and robust financing plan
• Providing key support and expert advice to Senior Management in respect of capital projects and related technical issues
• Overseeing business cases approvals for key capital projects
• Leading on treasury management and cashflow forecasting
• Preparing and presenting capital and treasury reports to Senior Management

The person;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified, or working towards
• Experience working within the Public Sector (desirable)
• Ability to build relationships at senior level
• Strong technical skillset
