The team you’ll work with:

Reporting to the Treasurer, EMEA, UK Finance, the Senior Capital Manager will be helping to build out our Capital & Funding capability and work collaboratively across the Group.

The value you’ll add: You will manage capital and funding risks across the bank through and will be an expert understanding of the balance sheet behaviour, regulatory environment, forecasting and risk analysis.

What you can expect to be doing: 

You will be reporting and forecasting capital and funding metrics on weekly, monthly frequency to ensure to support management of risk appetite.

Help build the capital and funding plan and drive the management action (issuance, deposit diversification) to support business ambitions whilst staying within risk and regulatory parameters.

Capital stack optimisation and be the lead manager on HSBC Innovation Banking capital transactions.

Leading the Treasury Risk Adequacy Assessment Review process ensuring all Treasury risks are identified, stress tested, development of Strategic Management Actions and documentation into a Board ready document.

You will support Stress testing process and provide oversight/challenge of annual financial plan.

The experience you need:

Evidenced experience of Capital management within the financial services industry

Extensive experience in Regulatory processes e.g., ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery Plan

You will have professional qualifications such CFA, CertBalm, FRM, AMCT, Accounting or other relevant option desirable.

Strong Regulatory understanding – CRR and PRA Rule book

You will need strong Excel modelling experience.
