As a Senior Commercial Analyst, within the BritNed Commercial Operations team, you'll be responsible for the daily commercial operation of BritNed covering all routine operations including governance and communication, revenue & cost tracking, process optimisation and reporting.
You'll also have the opportunity to shape new operational processes and procedures and train the wider BritNed team. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, as well as excellent exposure across the business with the ability to identify and develop solutions, and present to senior leaders.
This role is based from Warwick, and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home. The role will involve regular travel throughout GB and Europe, and will include providing out-of-hours/on-call support (1 week/month).
- Ensure that BritNed operates in line with compliance requirements (e.g. applicable legislation, licenses, Access Rules, GB/EU codes, Operational Protocols)
- Maintain relationship with asset operations, liaising on outage requirements such that commercial interests are continually optimised.
- Responsible for commercial availability of the nominated interconnector by ensuring 3rd party contracts and processes are in place, followed, well managed and fit for purpose.
- Development and communication of risk mitigation and issue management strategies.
- An analytical mindset and the ability to translate legal requirements into operational processes to ensure compliance.
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to summarise complex processes and circumstances, weighing up all of the relevant factors and providing recommendations.
- Experience within an energy market related organisation or authority is an advantage.
- Good understanding of electricity markets in GB and across the EU is beneficial.
- Self-motivated and structured in approach.
- Degree or equivalent in the field of economics, engineering or similar.

A competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. BritNed is an independent joint venture with TenneT, connecting GB and the Netherlands since 2011 - with enough capacity to power 1 million homes.
