JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced corporate fundraiser passionate about the environment and trees!

ABOUT TREES FOR CITIES

Trees for Cities is the only charity working on a national and international scale to improve people's lives by planting trees in cities. In a world facing unprecedented threats from climate change, loss of biodiversity and disconnection from nature, our work has never been more urgent or important. With a portfolio of funders giving over £10,000 annually, you will secure and manage income to grow urban forests and combat the effects of climate change. Come get your hands dirty on planting days and join us!

We have been in existence for nearly 30 years, engaging communities to plant, protect and promote urban trees in parks, streets, schools and housing estates across the UK and around the world. Through our work, we deliver local impact on a national and global scale, strengthening urban communities through volunteering opportunities and helping to enable and inspire a new generation to plant and protect urban trees. The charity has seen significant organisational growth and development in recent years, including a new senior leadership team to boost capacity and lead a growing organisation.

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead our Corporate Partnerships team to achieve ambitious income (£2.5m in 2024-25 financial year) and strategic value targets for the organisation to deliver our goal of healthy, accessible and resilient urban forests for today and future generations. This role will identify, build and manage high-value Corporate Partnerships (£100,000+). This role is responsible for developing and delivering the annual Corporate Partnerships Business Plan and contributing to the next organisational strategy from 2025. There is significant scope to explore new ideas and opportunities that will benefit the programme.

This role will build on the historic income growth and strong portfolio of partners by developing, piloting and scaling new funding offerings and engagement opportunities. With a high level of corporate interest and a competitive sector for fundraising, you will be skilled at prioritising potential funders and opportunities. Your passion for the environment and urban communities will bring their energy and enthusiasm to compelling funder communications. Your organisation skills will enable you to manage and deliver funder requirements in line with accounting, fundraising and legal best practice.

This role will work closely with the Fundraising Director to maximises Corporate Partnerships and align with fundraising across income streams. This role sits within the Fundraising Department and will line manage the Corporate Partnerships Manager and support the Corporate Volunteer Coordinator to deliver a high-quality corporate fundraising programme.

The Fundraising team have delivered consistent, significant income growth this strategic period – and more is needed to address the increasing need for urban trees. We now look forward to our next strategy in 2025 for even more ambitious plans – join us!
