Senior Credit Strategy Manager

As a Senior Credit Risk Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for providing a credit risk lens on new deals and partnership propositions. These new propositions are a key pillar in their growth strategy and this role is responsible for ensuring they fit in with the business's credit risk framework.
THE ROLE
- Policy Review: Provide review of 3rd party (prospect's) credit risk policies, scorecards and frameworks ensuring they align with the credit risk appetite
- Thought Leadership: This role is a crucial role in enabling the business to execute it's ambitious growth strategy
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and have difficult conversations, knowing how to push back and get buy-in appropriately. The role will be involved in credit and investment committee meetings
- Strategy Formulation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective credit risk strategies that balance risk and reward, optimizing customer outcomes and credit performance.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of risk exposure, translating findings into actionable insights.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience working on credit risk policy for a mortgage lender
- Extensive experience in data-drive decision making
- Familiarity with credit risk regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Ideally with proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R or similar.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
