Joining the Digital Products Portfolio
The Digital Consumer Engagement Products portfolio plays a critical role in delivering PMI’s Smoke-Free Future. We are enabling digital services to our consumers, retailers and external audiences by building platforms to communicate our vision to broader society. Together with talent from multiple business and technology functions across our footprint, we are delivering a premium experience for our partners.
When you join this team, you will work in a dynamic, diverse, and warm environment. You will be primarily focusing on defining your Digital Product vision, regularly engaging with your customers to gather feedback and understand their needs in order to improve value. You will be part of all stages of Digital Product incremental value delivery.
What’s the purpose of this role?
We're on the hunt for a Senior Data Architect Direct Experience with a solid background in design and implementation of Data Architecture, specific to Direct-to-Consumer solutions, that enables the organization to provide personalized and seamless experiences to its consumers.
The Data Architect is responsible for creating a blueprint of the data infrastructure that supports D2C solutions, ensuring that it is scalable, secure, and efficient.
You will work closely with multi-functional teams to identify data requirements, design data models, and develop data integration strategies. The Data Architect also ensures that the Data Architecture aligns with company and regulatory requirements, as well as with the industry standards. By providing a robust Data Architecture, the Data Architect enables the organization to leverage data to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Your day-to-day
  • Design and own business domain-level data blueprints by describing what data is generated, used, enriched in a specific business capability’s domain (i.e. commerce)
  • Describe the flows of key master and reference data sets between solutions and their mappings for a particular business capability domain.
  • Describes what data capture, validation and profiling rules need to be put in place, which solutions, technology specific and align those with the wider data ecosystem to ensure consistent data capture across channels.
  • Defines the technical requirements based on Logical data model scope, by design the physical data model and working closely with Enterprise Data Architects on the logical data models.
  • Ensures data changes are coordinated across the solutions/products by performing and documenting a data impact assessment and the lineage of the attribute.
  • Direct the technical designers and teams with best practices and deliverables needed to address data privacy housekeeping rules implementation, data propagation for CRM, segmentation and analytics.
  • Design feasibility studies, POCs and use results from them to assess an data-driven value add to the capability domain.
  • Work closely with integration resources to ensure and limit data loss, rejections and their management.
  • Work closely with Domain Architects to feed needs, challenges but also adopt architecture principles, guardrails, and guidelines.
  • Implement above-product data capabilities to analyze long term data quality, integrity and usability trends, patterns to feed into Product group management and work on improvements.

What is needed to succeed in this Role?
  • Extensive experience working on Data Architecture, conceptual, logical and physical data model, preferably in B2C/D2C landscapes.
  • Solid experience in master and reference data management, as well as their governance.
  • In depth understanding of various Data stores and capabilities.
  • Experience in design data entity value chains in context of process design
  • Experience with large scale centrally built data integration landscapes with legacy outliers.
  • Relevant work experience in applying data privacy guidelines and governing GDPR operations.
  • Experience with decision making, insight generation based on data, critical metric structure, operational reporting.
  • Experience with data lineage tools, e.s. Solidatus, Atlan.
  • Experience with data quality measurements and monitoring tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with SAP Commerce, AWS data related services (Kinesis, Athena, S3) and OpenSearch would be a plus.
  • Good communication skills, adaptability to a dynamically changing environment.
