As a Barclays Senior Database Developer, you will be assisting with the reduction of operational risk by helping to ensure that processes are as automated as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to be assisting with the building and maintaining of a scalable SQL database solution. You will also be expected to perform the role of gatekeeper to maintain the code quality and standard along with mentoring other members of the team.

What will you be doing?
• Writing complex stored procedure, Functions & Triggers using Microsoft Structured Query language (T-SQL)
• Designing and building Data Models / Data Warehouse & Marts
• Delivering solutions to strict deadlines under constant time pressure
• Communicating technical details to non-technical colleagues in a way which they can comprehend
• Producing high quality, well-structured and concise written documentation
• Working with a wide array of stakeholders such as consultants and vendor staff members across multiple locations and countries
What we’re looking for:
• Hands on experience in writing complex stored procedure, Functions & Triggers using Microsoft Structured Query language (T-SQL)
• Experience in designing & building Data Models / Data Warehouse & Marts
• Experience in Data integration tools like SSIS
• Data modelling tools (e.g. SQL Developer, Python, Database Workbench, ER/Studio)
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
