Key Responsibilities:
- Generate engineering drawings from CAD models, ensuring precision and clarity.
- Produce, modify, and update 3D models, detail, and assembly drawings in line with approved changes.
- Create designs considering cost, quality, schedule, risk, and human factors.
- Collaborate with the Production Engineering Department to align design and manufacturing requirements.
- Apply appropriate GD&T in accordance with standards, and produce tolerance analysis and justification documents.
- Identify part clashes and process Approved Drawing Revision (ADR) requests using Siemens Teamcenter 11.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering Advanced Vocational Qualification (ONC/HNC/NVQ) and Engineering Apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing/draughting.
- Knowledge of GD&T, BS8888, ASME Y14.5, tolerance analysis, DFM, DFA, and materials and processes.
- Experience with NX 12, Teamcenter 11, and SAP ERP system is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and collaborative working style.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
