Senior Digital Marketing Officer

Venn Group has partnered with culturally significant non-ministerial Government Department to recruit for a Senior Digital Marketing Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing specialist to support a busy marketing team during an exciting period for the organisation

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Responsible for managing the department’s digital presence across a variety of social media channels and through a varied email marketing programme
• Integrate digital communications with other communications e.g. web site and media
• Publish and schedule timely content across social media platforms
• Monitor trends and industry developments, benchmarking against comparable institutions and setting targets
• Ensure arrangements are in place to monitor and respond to enquiries
• Provide leadership and Digital Marketing advice/strategies on project/programme boards
• Ensure adherence to relevant security and privacy requirements, including specific guidelines and policies applicable to government departments
• Provide expert advice to colleagues across the organisation on the strategic importance of Digital Marketing and communication channels and content
• Manage day to day relationships with external suppliers, including email marketing platform, and commission external work as required

Ideal candidate profile:

• Significant practical experience of developing and managing an organisation’s social media and e-communications
• Public sector experience or government communications experience
• Must have previous baseline security clearance (BPSS)
• Strong analytical skills and data management Excellent written English and copywriting flair and editing skills; content creation skills
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, can work flexibly, think creatively to solve problems, and demonstrate sound judgement

Daily rate: £232.38 PAYE inclusive of Holiday Pay

Contract Length: 3 months

Working hours: Full time

Working pattern: 2 days per week on site
