On is a company that caters to explorers, builders, and entrepreneurs. We build innovative experiences for our customers through both our physical and Digital Products. Our Digital Team is responsible for managing On's largest store & digital flagship. Our team's primary objective is to provide customers with a personalized, exceptional, and seamless shopping experience. We aim to WOW customers through their entire digital journey. Your mission will be to own the vision and execution of our Digital Product - across web & app as well as the underlying platform and systems - helping us create extraordinary experiences and push boundaries into uncharted territory. On is searching for an outstanding and visionary leader who can work closely with internal team members from various departments to drive the development of On's Digital Product. The Senior Director of Digital Product plays a critical role in On's achievement of short and long-term business goals and reports directly to senior management.
Your Mission
- Develop and evangelize a clear, inspiring Digital Product vision & strategy aligned with the overall business goals and market trends - spanning globally across Web & app.
- Responsible for building new customer touchpoints by developing and executing strategies and roadmaps. You will work closely with stakeholders to refine the prioritization process and ensure the Digital Product vision is realized.
- Develop a deep understanding of On's customer & user behavior (with in depth quantitative and qualitative acumen), translating customer insights into actionable product strategies that enhance user experience and drive lifetime loyalty.
- Champion Agile methodologies and iterative development processes in the Digital Product lifecycle, unlocking agility and speed.
- Your role will involve identifying dependencies with other strategic initiatives and influencing other product managers to incorporate dependent features into the roadmap. You will build relationships with key business partners and other brand stakeholders and communicate product needs to different audiences and cross-functional partners.
- Assess and manage risks associated with Digital Product development, ensuring a balance between innovation and stability, as well as short-term executional needs with long-term strategic goals.
- Adopt a test / learn / iterate mindset throughout the team, and reduce system constraints such as resources, finances, and technology to build long-term customer engagement and brand loyalty.
- Hold a global perspective, with the ability to understand and navigate the challenges of international markets, including cultural nuances and regional preferences to Digital Product. You will bring Digital Products across all of On's core markets (incl China) under one clear Digital Product vision & strategy.
Your Story
- You are a seasoned product leader (+15 years experience) with a proven track record of driving a product strategy and roadmap across a large organization.
- You are an exceptional leader, with proven ability to build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a positive work culture - at least 8 years of experience leading large teams.
- You hold cross channel experience, managing Digital Product across a suite of channels: App, .com, and deep experience with Platform/Shared-service teams.
- You hold a deep understanding of user behavior, with a customer centric mentality.
- You are highly proficient in leveraging data analytics to make informed decisions and continuously the Digital Product portfolio.
- You hold experience with large merchants leading commerce capabilities and experiences globally.
- You have a strong technical background to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and guide the development of scalable, reliable, and innovative Digital Products.
- You hold extensive experience in the ecommerce industry, including knowledge of online retail trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- You are able to manage budgets effectively, optimize resources, and demonstrate a clear understanding of the financial impact of product decisions on the overall business.
- You show willingness to adapt to evolving market conditions, embrace new technologies, and foster a culture of continuous innovation to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
- You have exceptional problem-solving skills, creativity, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
- You have proven ability to think and plan strategically, coupled with a willingness to dive in and out the details of execution.
