About the Team and Role
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in Gloucestershire Highways working in our Structural Maintenance Team, assisting in the highway authority’s role to maintain and improve the carriageways and footways of the County.
Gloucestershire has a a highway network extending to almost 6000km across diverse landscapes including the Cotswolds, the Forest of Dean and Severn Vale. The County Council is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer within the Structural Maintenance Team. The postholder is responsible for the entire design process for schemes allocated, producing both the formal design and delivery handover pack.
About You
The ideal applicant will be a self-starter who has extensive experience of highway design work, Auto CAD skills are a must. Schemes do generate significant public contact therefore the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully is essential. Scheme related issues are resolved by providing an excellent level of customer service to external customers and members through face to face, informal and formal written and verbal communications.
