Stoke-on-Trent City Council are currently undergoing an ambitious transformation across their services and are partnering with Castlefield to support this exciting change. After successfully adding a number of driven individuals as part of the initial phase of the transformation, we are now looking for an additional 8 candidates with the ambition and determination to continue this journey and become influential members of a forward-thinking finance team.

As part of this transformation, Stoke are looking to identify 2 Senior Finance Business Partners across a range of key areas including Children’s Social Care and Education Family Support.

The Senior Finance Business Partner posts will work within a commercially focused team to provide financial advice and support across dedicated directorates and transformational projects across the Council. Responsibilities include;

• Working proactively with Directorate Management Teams and stakeholders in the financial governance and control of the Directorate toachieve strategic objectives
• Business partnering with Directorate Management Team to provide financial and commercial advice on strategic and operational matters to support decision-making
• Supporting and informing the overall Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for the Council as an integral element of the overall financial strategy
• Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, looking to add value within a first-class Business Partnering service
• Leadership and development of Directorate Finance Team

The successful candidate;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with evidence of continuing personal development
• Proven Business Partnering approach with a track record of developing influential working relationships at strategic level
