Description

The key responsibilities of a Senior Finance Officerwill include, but may not be limited to;

• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Manage and develop a finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues.
• Develop and implement effective financial strategies, controls, systems and procedures.
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to stakeholders.
• Oversee the audit process, liaise with external auditors and manage the implementation of audit findings.

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:

• Not for Profit and Charities background - Education desirable.
• Ability to commute to Manchester.
• A professional accountancy qualification.
• Previous experience in a Senior Finance role within the not-for-profit sector.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
• Excellent understanding of financial regulations and standards.
• Strong strategic thinking, planning and problem-solving abilities.
