We are proud to be partnering with a charity holding national prestige, celebrated for their fantastic work supporting victims of domestic abuse. They are looking to build their tight-knit team and recruit a Senior Finance Officer.
The role is initially a temporary 3 month position, with a real possibility of extension, and offers fully remote working. Whilst the role is full-time, including 35 hours per week, our client is also willing to offer condensed hours.
The ideal candidate will have experience of maintaining the purchase and sales ledger, and accounting practices up until trial balance.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Raising invoices and accurately record transactions on Quick Books for training courses
Acting as the point of contact for enquires regarding invoices; supplies; insurance; sales; staff expenses; responding to or referring to the Chief Executive as appropriate
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate expense records, including receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation
Dealing with all aspects of credit control, chasing payments from supplier and setting up bank payments
Reconciling supplier statements, debtor, creditor and other control accounts
Carrying out weekly and monthly bank accounts reconciliations and recording of the company’s petty cash
Recording the accruals and prepayments, and dealing with month end reporting up to trial balance
Generating comprehensive reports on expenses and budgeting, providing valuable insights and recommendations
Analysing existing expense policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting changes as needed
Experience required:
Preferrable AAT Qualified or working towards an AAT Qualification
Experience required in bookkeeping up to trial balance
Dealing with staff expenses and invoice processing
Experience of dealing with credit control
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
Able to work well within a team
Ability to work autonomously where required and use initiative
Strong written and verbal communication skills
