Senior Financial Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with this influential, well-known brand in Cheltenham, who are recognised for their excellent and progressive working culture, to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant.

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key part within the finance division. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for producing accurate management / financial accounts with focus on the technical aspects of financial reporting. This role is project orientated, with fantastic future progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordination and production of the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements and other supporting schedules as part of the month end, half year and year end close.
• Group statutory accounts at year end.
• Manage the consolidation companies for the Group Reporting at year end and interim.
• Producing budgets and forecasts for both senior management and non-financial stakeholder purposes.
• Coordination and production of process improvement activities.
• Delivering consolidated IFRS Group accounts.
• Act as a key contact and have a hands on role in the success of the Group audits at year end and interim.
• Statutory analysis and accounts preparation where necessary.

The requirements:

• You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or finalist.
• Good technical knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience in Group Financial Reporting, with a strong technical finance background.
• Preferably experienced in working with international accounts.
• Proactive, driven, resilient and able to work under your own initiative.
• A highly organised, diligent person with exceptional attention to detail.
• A confident communicator who can develop relationships across all business functions.
