Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior HR Advisorto join The Bedford College Group at our Caudwell Street Campus.
As a Senior HR Advisor you play an important role in the success of our students through:
  • Working with the Group Heads of HR and Group HR Manager to strategically partner the business.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives in line with the HR Business plan.
  • Acting as HR lead in the absence of the Group HR Manager.
  • Key point of contact for complex cases within their area of responsibility.
  • Working closely with the HR Advisors/HR Coordinators to support and offer clear HR advice and/or coaching to Line Managers on day-to-day matters.
  • Supporting the HR team working on various HR projects including owning selected HR Centre of Excellence.
  • Contributing to the development of the HR team and the wider organisation by sharing people management skills and knowledge, encouraging and supporting others.
Ideal candidates will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
  • Qualified to CIPD level 3 or working towards Level 5 qualification or similar
  • Extensive Employee Relations knowledge and practical experience gained through working within an HR Advisor role
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practices in ER (Employee Relations)
  • Substantial experience working in a generalist HR role and able to demonstrate the application of HR policy in practice.
