Senior HR Advisor
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus performance bonus & benefits.
This is a Fixed Term contract for up to 15 months.

Job Description
As a Senior HR Advisor, you will act as an escalation point of contact for line managers, providing advice and guidance by phone, email or face to face, supporting all aspects of operational HR and employee relations matters across the business.
You will promote a positive people culture by ensuring that all colleagues are treated fairly and consistently, and in line with Company Principles and Procedures. You will take ownership of your own caseload, and support to minimise risk to the business.
As a Senior HR Advisor, we are looking for someone to:
- Provide expert employee relations advice and coach line managers across a range of complex employment issues including: absence management; performance management; capability; flexible working; conduct; grievance; and consultation
- Manage own caseload of complex employee relations cases
- Support, coach and advise line managers in preparation and holding of formal investigation, suspension, disciplinary, capability and grievance meetings
- Drive upskilling and capability of line managers on employee relations matters, identifying development needs, and building relationships
- Investigate and report data, using a pro-active approach to identify trends
- Manage and drive employee relation activities, such as running People workshops / training sessions
- Support with ad-hoc People projects, working collaboratively with the wider People team and key stakeholders, acting as project lead when required
Qualifications
Essential
- Provide expert working knowledge of employment law, recent case law and HR best practice
- Experience of providing specialist ER advice to managers and colleagues across a range of complex issues
- Experience of working in a fast paced and commercial environment, with a common sense and pragmatic approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, and deal with a range of incoming enquires
- Active listener, able to decipher and process complex information quickly and be methodical
- Able to communicate effectively and confidently, questioning actions when appropriate
- Excellent written English language skills in the preparation of documents and communications
- High level of computer literacy, experience of working within a fast paced HR environment and handling confidential information. Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of software
Desirable
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
- Experience working in the financial services sector
