Salary: c. £48,000 per annum.
Contract: Permanent. Full-time hours

The Southbank Centre, the iconic arts centre on the bank of the River Thames, is seeking a Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and deliver a programme of fundraising communications and products which grow a significant and sustainable supporter base.
The Southbank Centre is Europe’s largest arts centre and one of the UK’s top five visitor attractions, occupying an 11-acre site that sits in the midst of a vibrant cultural quarter in London. Their focus, as a charity, is to remain innovative, bold and experimental in what they do and to be highly relevant to the artists they want to work with and to the audiences they want to attract, as well as to our current and future employees. Ultimately, the Centre aims to create a place where as many people as possible can come together to experience bold, unusual, entertaining and eye-opening work.
This role sits within the Development Team which raises funds from audiences, major donors, grant makers and companies, seeking to maximise opportunities across these income strands. Fundraised income is of increasing importance to the Southbank Centre’s business model and the charity has increased its focus on developing new ways of working to realise its full potential for Southbank Centre. This is an exciting time to join the team with a new structure in place and presents an exceptional opportunity to lead their work in nurturing support from audiences and visitors.
Key responsibilities will include delivering on ambitious income targets for Individual Giving and establishing cause-related messaging to Southbank Centre audiences across their online and onsite experiences which tell the story of the Centre, demonstrate impact and motivate people to support. You will be responsible for designing and leading campaigns to increase audience giving, working with colleagues across the organisation and with outside agencies as necessary, and for creating and sustaining effective donor stewardship which encourages repeat giving and creates opportunities for additional support, at a higher level or through a legacy for example.
The successful candidate will have developed compelling fundraising messaging, products and donor journeys using direct marketing and campaigning techniques. They will be able to realise the value and potential of a suite of supporter opportunities. An effective collaborator, they will understand the roles of colleagues in digital, communications, marketing and visitor experience teams, and how to work with them to convert audiences to supporters. They will also be proficient at recognising when and how to progress supporters through their giving journey to new types of support and will have a track record of working with fundraising colleagues to achieve this. They will be a confident manager of staff and agencies/suppliers.
